When your Xbox 360 console's ring of light flashes 2 red lights, it indicates that your console has encountered a hardware error that prevents it from starting up. Xbox 360 E71 error is a quite common hardware failures. Xbox 360 Xbox 360 E71 error implies an error with "xam.xex", a program of the Xbox 360 Software. This is possibly an error in updating the Xbox Dashboard.
Installation of the xbox 360 E71 error is quite simple. What you do is just to clear any system updates that cause the console to error. To do this, first turn off the console. With the console off, press and hold the sync button (the small white button that is used to search for wireless connections). While you hold the sync button, turn on the console by pressing the power button and do not release the hold of the sync button until the console is fully booted up. During the boot of the console, any failed updates will be cleared allowing the console to run normally again, thus eliminating the Xbox 360 E71 error. If your console is still not working then perhaps a more serious problem.
Other errors similar to xbox 360 E71 error is error E72 and E80 errors. These errors all involve problems of the Xbox Dashboard, but solutions to these errors may not be the same as the solutions to the E71 error.
