The top applications for Windows Phone list continues with the IMDB app which allows quick access to the IMDB database. I do not like to use the browser when I am provided with a dedicated application that presents news in a more interesting manner. It's one of the few applications that have versions for almost all operating systems and I got used to it on Android so I took it with me on Windows Phone as well.
Kayak, full name is actually Kayak Flight & Hotel Search and this is an application from which you can quickly find information about hotels, flights and other useful things for travel. I have found the service on my Android smartphone and I got used to it. I tried the Windows Phone application after I found it and I am happy with how it runs.
Seesmic is an app for use when Twitter integration is insufficient in the operating system (e.g. I have to use lists based on searches or must have access to private messages). It can also be integrated with Facebook if you need it. I have not succeeded on any of the smartphones I tested to get Tile notifications on the home screen. The alternative to that could be Beezz.
Hub Radio allows you to listen streaming audio on your Windows Phone. You can access a long list of radio stations around the world and if you have a good connection to your favorite music you can use it virtually anywhere.
There are however some extra necessary app solutions such as British Airways as I like to be quite orderly when it comes to traveling abroad. Coincidentally, this year most important flights I will take are with British Airways and so I have to reach a quick solution for tracking flight hours, check in and the use of electronic tickets. You can see on your smartphone all the information associated with your account: miles, reservations plus associated destination maps.
Pulse Reader is a mobile news reader. This is also an app that I ‘came with‘ from Android. It's not exactly what I want from it, only that its interface and speed of response are better than other solutions I have tried. I used to use Newsroom before but I like Pulse more. Unfortunately I do not know how to bring the feeds that I need and I am quite limited (yet) with the default settings. These are all apps that worth a look and may even make your life easier.
