Since technology is evolving at such an alarming rate, it is surely going to be part of our lives for many centuries to come. This is why it is very important to integrate technology into the learning environment because even today we pretty much depend on technology every step of our lives. One of the best ways for technology and education to interact is with the help of the cool classroom gadgets which are going to make a more pleasant learning environment.

Most university professors are already doing it and this is a trend which has also been adopted by high school teachers. I am talking about the PowerPoint presentation method of teaching. In order for a professor to present a PowerPoint material, he is in need of 2 essential things: a proper laptop and a suitable projector which is one of those cool classroom gadgets that should really be available in each and every class. The REALiS Multimedia Projector SX7 is the newest gizmo launched by Canon and it is one of the best devices of its kind. We could give you a lot of technical details about what this baby can do, but we are going to stick with the essentials.

It is said that this projector is excellent for medical educators that want to show their student giant images in order for them to observe and learn better but I think that will do even for biology, physics or chemistry class. The beauty of the new Canon projector is that it can show images at a resolution of 1400 x 1050 pixels which is very high and it comes with no less than 4000 lumens of brightness.

This means that colors will be reproduces with amazing accuracy and text will be very easy to read no matter how small it is written. Too bad that you have to pay $7799 in order to get one so there are schools which probably can afford to get one for each class.<

The other item that we wanted to present is really a hi-tech invention. Basically, it is a combination of the words “furniture” and “technology” but his should be of no surprise since we hear that soon we shall be buying digital kitchen system in order to control the refrigerator, oven and kitchen sink by pressing a single button. Returning to our object of interest, here is the Sony Fusion table that hides a computer. This table has a surface that actually opens up so it can reveal a workstation which has an adjustable screen plus a touch sensitive keyboard.

It is a computer integrated into a small piece of furniture. It surely would be a great gadget in the computer science class. The Sony Fusion has included a DVD drive plus a LED lit keyboard. Unfortunately, with a $3000 price tag, there is a good chance that not all school can get one of these for every student, but I am sure private schools are going to give this matter some serious thought.
